Why it matters

A leader's sleep is an organisational asset

Sleep is a leader's highest-leverage — and most improvable — performance lever: a single good night immediately sharpens the next day's decisions, emotional control and clarity, at no extra cost. Yet decision pressure, packed schedules and an always-on mind make sleep loss a constant shadow of senior leadership roles. Our research on senior leaders shows:

75%
showed insomnia signs at the start
38%
slept under 6 hours a night
32 min
to fall asleep, on average
28%
said sleep hurt their decisions
🧠Poor sleep erodes the very capacities leadership depends on — decision-making, emotional regulation and presence. Yet sleep is rarely part of any leadership-development program.

Program sponsor & participant

Thank you Dr. Hảo and the ABC team for designing and running the “Sleep to Lead” program so well for SPVB's ELT. After just over a month, my sleep quality has clearly improved — I fall asleep faster, and I get back to sleep faster if I wake in the night.

I especially loved building a “sleep reflex” for myself. It helped me change habits I'd always assumed were good for sleep but actually weren't. Everything really does take the right knowledge.

Sleep quality isn't only about what time you go to bed — it's also about how you “cool down” and release the day's pressure. The program's tools have helped me and many other ELT members gradually build better sleep habits.

I believe every leader first needs enough good-quality sleep — and only then the other soft skills. I hope more and more leaders sleep better, and from there lead their teams more effectively. Thank you again, Dr. Hảo and the ABC team — looking forward to your next programs!

Thank you for the Sleep to Lead program. Thirty days of practice isn't very long, but it was enough for me to build good habits before bed and on waking each morning. What I gained wasn't only knowledge about sleep, but a deeper understanding of the science of sleep and how the body and mind work.

Above all, I learned to accept difficult nights as something normal, instead of worrying and adding pressure on myself. The readings and the soothing sounds helped me relax and feel at ease.

And the best part: when I sleep enough and sleep better, I clearly feel more energetic, happier, and I start each new day feeling lighter.

My thanks to Dr. Hảo and everyone who accompanied, guided and shared the methods to Sleep to Lead.

My sleep quality has improved thanks to all kinds of sounds brought in. And I can't forget the journeys back into the past, with fading memories set to rhythms and selected tones that bring stillness after today's fast pace — nor the gentle invitations to let go and release.

A 30-day journey is a wonderful starting point. Again, thank you all very much!
